Dear Ms. Fabray-Berry,
I would like to request another meeting with yourself and Ms. Berry-Fabray,
to discuss your son, Jonathon.
I understand that we came to a resolution regarding last month’s incident,
in which Jonathan bound himself to a cafeteria kiosk with a jump rope while
shouting “Meat is Murder!” and we are still in agreement with Ms.
Berry-Fabray that it’s well within the realm of an expression of personal
beliefs. We are a progressive learning institution and highly encourage
self-expression and creative interaction.
However, in light of today’s events, in which he climbed atop a cafeteria
table, dropped his tray to the floor, and began to scream “Soylent Green is
people!” and thus terrifying several second and third graders, we are
hoping to come to some kind of agreement about what is and isn’t acceptable behavior on school grounds.
